Gold today rose 125 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for June contracts. The precious metal was trading at 60,630 rupees per 10 gram. Silver also climbed 375 rupees to trade at 75,415 rupees per kilogram for May Contracts.

In the global markets, gold was trading up at 2,023 dollars and 20 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver also added to 25 dollars 30 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
