Gold rose Rs 40, to Rs 27,670 per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market today on wedding season buying by jewelers and retailers, and a firm global trend. Silver gained Rs 450, to Rs 38,100 per kilo, on increased off take by industrial units and coin-makers. Silver coins remained steady, at Rs 62,000 for buying 100 pieces. Overseas, gold advanced 0.8 per cent, to 1,231 dollars an ounce. Silver gained 0.9 per cent, to 17 dollars an ounce.
