Gold prices today gained 90 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for October contracts in sync with gains in the international markets. Gold was trading at 46,000 rupees per 10 gram. Silver prices also rose 110 rupees to trade at 62,275 rupees per kilogram for September Contracts when reports last came in.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up at 1,731 US dollars and 40 cents per ounce. Silver prices were were also up at 23 dollars and 40 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
