Gold prices today climbed 560 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for April contracts. The precious metal was trading at 51,850 rupees per 10 gram.

Silver prices surged 400 rupees to trade at 67,360 rupees per kilogram for March Contracts when reports last came in.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up to trade at 1,936 US dollars and 20 cents per ounce. Silver prices were also up to trade at 25 dollars and 50 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
