Gold prices today rose 115 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for August contracts. The precious metal was trading at 50,615 rupees per 10 gram.

Silver prices also surged 360 rupees to 57,090 rupees per kilogram for July Contracts when reports last came in.
In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up marginally to trade at 1,742 US dollars and 20 cents per ounce. Silver was also up to 19 dollars and 30 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
