Gold prices today rose 300 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for June contracts. The precious metal was trading at around 60,195 rupees per 10 gram. On the other hand, silver rose 481 rupees to trade around 74,321 rupees per kilogram for May Contracts.
In the global markets, gold was trading up at 2,008 dollars and 30 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver also gained to 25 dollars 34 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
