Gold was trading up at Multi Commodity Exchange for December contracts on Thursday. The precious metal was up by 39 rupees to trade at 61,063 rupees per ten grams.

Silver futures for December contracts were also up 48 rupees to trade at 72,874 rupees per kilogram when reports last came in.
In the global markets, gold was trading up at 2,014 dollars and 50 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver was also up 24 dollars and four cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
