Gold prices today rose 230 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for April contracts. The precious metal was trading at 51,610 rupees per 10 gram. Silver prices also gained 400 rupees to 68,090 rupees per kilogram for May Contracts when reports last came in.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up to trade at 1,936 US dollars and 10 cents per ounce. Silver prices were also up to trade at 25 dollars and 10 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
