Today, Gold was trading up at the Multi Commodity Exchange for December contracts. The precious metal was up 540 rupees to trade at 58,460 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for December contracts also rose 890 rupees to trade at 69,960 rupees per kilo when reports last came in.

In the global markets, gold was trading up at 1,906 dollars and 20 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver was also up to trading at 22 dollars and 37 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
