Gold prices today gained 247 rupees per ten grams at Multi Commodity Exchange for June contracts. Gold futures were trading around 46,850 rupees per ten gram. Silver futures also climbed 412 rupees to trade at around 68,000 rupees per kilogram for May contracts.
 
In global markets, gold was trading at 1,746 dollars per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange while silver was trading at 25.5 dollars per ounce, when reports last came in.
