Gold prices today fell more than Rs 400 in sync with losses in the international market. In intra-day trade at Multi Commodity Exchange, gold was trading at Rs 49,685 per 10 gram down Rs 424. Silver also plunged Rs 1,152 to Rs 64,040 per kilogram.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was trading down at USD 1,858.10 per ounce while silver fell to USD 24.25 per ounce.
