Gold prices declined on the Multi Commodity Exchange today. Gold for June delivery fell 263 rupees, to 48,044 rupees per ten grams, in line with a drop in the global precious metal prices. Silver for July delivery lost 1,636 rupees, to 71,9650 rupees per kilo.
 
In the international market, gold was trading in the red at 1,866 dollars per ounce, while silver was down at 27.67 dollars per ounce.
