Gold prices on Thursday logged marginal gains of 20 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for August contracts amid gains in gold prices in the international markets. Gold was trading at 48,320 rupees per 10 gram. Silver prices also surged around 70 rupees to trade at 69,480 rupees per kilogram for September Contracts when reports last came in.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up at 1,826 US dollars and 10 cents per ounce. Silver prices were also up at 26 dollars and 30 per ounce.
