Gold price today rose marginally by Rs 75 at Multi Commodity Exchange for April contracts. The precious metal was trading at around Rs 55,820 per 10 grams. Silver was also up Rs 450 to trade around Rs 64,485 per kilogram for March Contracts, when reports last came in.

In the global markets, gold was trading up at USD 1,853.30 per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver was also up at USD 20.20 per ounce in intra-day trade.
