In the 93rd convocation of the Banaras Hindu University today, 26 students received Gold medals.Delivering his convocation address the Vice-President Mohammed Hamid Ansari underline the importance of Indian federal system and raised issues of challenges before the polity and society .Chancellor Dr Karan Singh presented Gold Medal to 26 toppers of different streams.More than 7,000 students got degrees for successful completion of their courses. Three sixty four students were also conferred Phd degrees on this occasion.
