Gold lost 540 rupees to 27,340 rupees per ten grams in Delhi's bullion market, on Thursday, on weak global cues. Silver plummeted 3,100 rupees to close below 50,000 rupee-mark at 49,100 rupees per kilo on poor industrial demand.In New York, gold fell for the sixth day, dropping 1.1 per cent to 1,548 dollar an ounce, the lowest price since September.
