Gold in the national capital today rose 225 rupees to 38,715 rupees per 10 gram.

Silver prices also moved up by 440 rupees to 45,480 rupees per kg from 45,040 rupees per kg in the previous trade.

In the global market, gold traded higher at 1,461 US dollars per ounce and silver at 16 dollars and 90 cents an ounce.
