Gold jumps 300 rupees to 30,700 rupees per 10 gm

Extending it gains for the third straight day, gold jumped 300 rupees, to 30,700 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, on sustained buying by stockists for the ongoing marriage season, amid a firm global trend. Silver climbed 590 rupees, to 44,200 rupees per kilo. Silver coins surged 1,000 rupees, to 86,000 rupees for buying 100 pieces. Overseas, gold rose 0.3 per cent, to 1,261 dollars an ounce.
