Gold surged 500 rupees, to a nine-month high of 32,000 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, on increased buying by stockists as the rupee plunged to a historic intra-day low, and amid positive global cues. Silver rose 800 rupees, to 54,800 rupees per kilo, on increased offtake by jewellers and industrial users.Overseas, gold climbed 0.5 percent, to an over two-month high of 1,411 dollars an ounce.
