Gold hits all-time high of 24,330 rupees per 10 grams

Gold rose 640 rupees, to hit a fresh all-time high of 24,330 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market on Wednesday following heavy buying by stockists amid a rally in the overseas market. Silver jumped 1,500 rupees, to 60,100 rupees per kilo.In the global markets, gold surged to an all-time high above 1,671 dollars an ounce, on escalating concern that the global economic recovery may be losing momentum.
