Gold prices today gained 230 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for August contracts amid gains in gold prices in the international markets. Gold was trading at 47,070 rupees per 10 gram. Silver prices also climbed 760 rupees to trade around 68,900 rupees per kilogram for July Contracts when reports last came in.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up 1,776 US dollars and 60 cents per ounce. Silver prices were also up at 26 dollars and 40 saints per ounce.
