Gold gains <img src="rs.png" border="0" height="10"> 225

Snapping a three-day losing streak, gold rose 225 rupees, to 28,465 rupees per ten grams at Delhi&apos;s bullion market, today, on emergence of buying for the upcoming marriage season, amid a firm global trend. Silver gained 800 rupees, to 65,000 rupees per kilo. In the global markets, gold rose 0.6 per cent, to 1,845 dollars an ounce, as concerns about Europe&apos;s sovereign-debt crisis spurred demand for the precious metal as an alternative investment.
