Gold gains 400 rupees

Gold spurted 400 rupees, to 28,000 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, on sustained buying, amid a firm global trend. Gold had gained 1,250 rupees in the previous four sessions. Silver rose 500 rupees, to 45,500 rupees per kilo, on increased offtake by industrial units and coin-makers. Silver coins spurted 1,000 rupees, to 76,000 rupees for buying 100 pieces.In London, gold rose 1.1 per cent, to 1,448 dollars an ounce.
