Gold gained 175 rupees, to 29,975 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, on buying by stockists to meet the coming festival demand, amid a firm global trend. Silver jumped 950 rupees, to 53,150 rupees per kilo, on increased offtake by jewellers and industrial units. Silver coins rose 1,000 rupees, to 81,000 rupees for buying 100 pieces. In the global markets, gold climbed 0.2 per cent, to 1,589 dollars an ounce. Silver gained 0.1 per cent, to 28 dollars an ounce.
