Snapping three-days of losses, gold rose by 120 rupees, to 26,800 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market today amid a rebound in the global markets. But silver held steady at 40,500 rupees per kilo, in restricted buying by industrial units. However, silver coins spurted 1,000 rupees, to 77,000 rupees for buying 100 pieces.Overseas, gold rose 1.5 per cent, to 1,245 dollars an ounce. Silver advanced 1.8 percent, to 18.84 dollars an ounce.
