Gold edges lower to Rs 21260 per 10 grams

Gold edged lower by 10 rupees, to 21,260 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, amid sluggish demand on weak global cues. But silver rose 800 rupees, to 54,300 rupees per kilo. In the Asian markets, gold fell 0.4 per cent, to 1,423 dollars an ounce. Gold fell as oil declined from a 29-month high, easing concerns over rising inflation, and slackening demand for the precious metal as an alternative investment.
