Falling for the fifth straight day, gold dropped 50 rupees, to 31,400 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, on heavy selling by stockists, in line with a weak global trend. Gold had lost 1,120 rupees in the last four sessions. Silver slipped 450 rupees, to 49,100 rupees per kilogram, on reduced offtake by industrial units.
