Gold plunged 475 rupees, to fall below the 29,000 mark, at a three-week low of 28,840 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, on continued selling by stockists, falling demand, and a weak global trend. Silver lost 700 rupees, to 54,300 rupees per kilo, on reduced off take by industrial units and jewellery makers. In the global markets, gold fell 1.1 per cent, to 1,587 dollars an ounce, the lowest since January 3. Silver declined 1.8 per cent, to 28.92 dollars an ounce, the cheapest since January 9.
