Gold down by Rs 300

Gold fell 300 rupees, to 28,040 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, on Friday, on sustained offloading of positions by stockists. Silver tumbled a whopping 5,500 rupees, its second biggest fall in three months, to 59,000 rupees per kilo, amid a bearish global trend.In the global markets, gold shed 0.5 per cent, to 1,731 dollars an ounce. Gold is headed for its worst weekly performance in more than four months, on melting equities and commodities, on jitters about the world economy. Silver fell 5.5 per cent, to 33.88 dollars an ounce.
