Gold declines by Rs 130 to 29,340 on sluggish demand

Gold fell 130 rupees, to 29,340 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market, today, on slack demand at prevailing higher levels, amid a weak global trend. Silver held steady at 53,900 rupees per kilo, on restricted buying by industrial units and coin makers. In Singapore, gold declined 0.6 percent to 1,552 dollars an ounce. Silver also shed 0.6 per cent, to 27.54 dollars an ounce.
