Gold prices today rallied for the second consecutive session, rising by 30 rupees to touch nearly six-year high of 32,650 rupees per 10 gram at Delhi bullion market amid increased festive demand.
Silver, however, continued to remain weak and fell by 40 rupees to 39,200 rupees per kg due to tepid demand by industrial units.
Traders said sentiment remained positive on growing demand in the wake of upcoming festival of Diwali.
