The 75-year old lawyer-turned politician Tarun Gogoi will swear-in as the 14th Chief Minister at the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati at three this afternoon. AIR correspondent reports that the State Governor Janaki Ballav Patnaik will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Gogoi. Tarun Gogoi will assume office for the third time in a row in Assam. After being re-elected as the CLP leader, Mr. Gogoi announced that his Government would mainly focus on economic development, tackling unemployment problem and restoration of peace in the State. He said the responsibility of Government has increased manifold as the people of the State have supported the Congress overwhelmingly with more expectations to bring the party to power again. Mr. Gogoi was formally elected Leader of the Congress Legislature Party unopposed at a meeting held in the Central Hall of the Assam Assembly in Dispur on Tuesday
