General Officer Commanding in Chief, Western Command, Lt Gen KJ Singh today inaugurated the Selection Centre North (SCN) at Kapurthala. An official release said, this is the fourth Selection Centre to be raised for selection of Officers for the Armed Forces. <br/><br/>It consists of two Services Selection Boards. Speaking on the occasion,Lt Gen KJ Singh said the operationalisation of Selection Centre will play an important role in reducing the shortage of the officers in the Armed forces. <br/><br/>The first batches coming to the Selection Centre will be from the 'In-Service Entry' candidates and of Combined Defence Services.
