The General Officer Commanding -in- Chief, Northern Command, Lt. Gen B. S. Jaswal on Wednesday called on J&K Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah wherein the Chief Minister was apprised about the security situation in the state. <br/> <br/>Meanwhile, alerting the security forces to be more vigilant in coming months especially in view of the Republic Day, the Army has asked troops to neutralize the designs of anti-national elements. <br/> <br/>At a Core Group meeting at Headquarters White Knight Corps, Nagrota (Jammu), chaired by General Officer Commanding (GoC) 16 Corps, Lt. Gen Rameshwar Roy, the firing by the Pakistani Rangers to facilitate infiltration of the militants, inputs of intelligence agencies and intercepts of conversation between militants operating in the region with their mentors across the border were thoroughly deliberated upon in the meeting.<br/><br/>
