Goa to set up fast track court to try cases relating to atrocities on women tourists

Goa Chief Minister Mr. Digambar Kamat has said the state Government is contemplating to set up fast track courts in the state in the near future.<br/><br/>Speaking to reporters at Panaji today Mr. Kamat said the proposal has come forward in view of the growing atrocities on women tourists in the state, that tarnish the image of the state globally. He said, he will consult the state Law commission and seek their advice in this connection.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the BJP today expressed grave concern over the recent incident that happened with Russian tourist in Goa. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, the party spokesman Mr Ravishankar Prasad said that Goa has a vast potential of attracting domestic and foreing tourists and such type of incidents can affect the tourism sector. Mr Prasad asked the state government to take adequate steps to check such menace.<br/>
