In Goa, scrutiny of nominations for the upcoming Assembly Polls is taking place today. There are forty seats in Goa Legislative Assembly.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports, Altogether 587 nominations have been filed for Goa Assembly Elections. On the last day of filing yesterday 277 nominations were filed. Last day of withdrawal is on Monday 31st January and the picture of the fray will be clear after that. Elections are scheduled on 14th February.Nominations received so far include those of 5 couples and three candidates from a family – father, daughter and nephew. Local parties along with AAP and TMC are in fray and therefore multi cornered battle is expected in many key constituencies. Some parties are facing rebellion in some areas and their leaders are managing to contain this dissent.  The death toll due to Covid pandemic was 15 yesterday in the State and owing to restrictions campaigning is at low pace and emphasis is on meeting voters and social media without any public rallies till now. <br />
