Political parties have intensified their campaign for Goa assembly elections. The state will go to polls on the 3rd of March to elect a new assembly. Congress President Sonia Gandhi yesterday addressed an election rally at Fatorda in Margaon, while BJP General Secretary Gopinath Munde addressed a rally at Mala in Panaji. Our correspondent reports that the main contest in the state will be between the Congress-NCP alliance and BJP-Maharshtravadi Gomantak Party combine. A total of 215 candidates are in the fray for the 40 member assembly.
