With just three days remaining for the election campaign, all the political parties are running their campaigns in full swing ahead of the State Assembly polls slated on March 3. The election rallies of the prominent leaders of various political parties are being held in different constituencies. The main contest in the Goa Assembly Elections this time would be between the ruling Congress-Nationalist Congress Party alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party and Maharshtrawadi Gomantak Party combine. There are 215 candidates in fray for total 40 seats locked mostly in the multi-cornered contests. These also include 74 independents and nine women.
