National Voluntary Blood Donation Day was observed in Goa today as in the rest of the country. To mark the occasion the Goa State Aids control Society and Goa State Blood Transfusion Council jointly organised a function at Secretariat in Porvorim attended by Goa Health Minister Mr. Laxmikant Parsenker as the Chief guest. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Parsenker appealed the people to come forward and donate blood to save lives. National Voluntary blood donation day is observed on the 1st of October every year to generate awareness on blood donation.
