Goa on Sunday honoured world renowned architect Charles Correa with the highest civilian award -' Gomant Vibhushan award' for his outstanding contribution in the field of architecture.The award was presented by Goa and Maharashtra Governor K. Shankarnarayanan to Correa Sunday evening at a function held at Kala Academy at Panaji. Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Chief Secretary Sanjay Shrivastava and other dignitaries attended the function. Replying to the felicitation Mr. Correa said he is delighted to receive this highest civilian award in his homeland-Goa. Mr. Correa is the second recipient of this award. Last year it was presented to country's eminent scientist Dr. Raghunath Mashelker for his outstanding contribution to science.
