<span style="color: #222222;">Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today laid the foundation stone of a tertiary cancer centre at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Bambolim near Panaji.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Rane also laid the foundation stone for a day care centre for mentally ill persons and launched an awareness program on Swawlambhan scheme, which aims to make women self-reliant.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rane said, the projects were a long cherished dream of Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that the tertiary cancer centre will be run under the technical guidance of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He added that the facility would help in providing free cancer treatment in the state.</span>
