<span style="color: #222222;">Goa is celebrating its 35th Foundation Day today. On 30th of May in 1987, Goa got its full statehood. Goa remained under Portuguese rule even after 14 years of India's independence. Goa was liberated from the Portuguese on 19th December 1961. A grand ceremony was arranged today at Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula. Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Union Minister Sripad Naik were among the dignitaries present on this occasion.
