Goa assembly winter session begins today

The four day winter session of the Goa state legislative assembly begins on Tuesday ( at 11.30 a.m.) With the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party already announcing its decision to grill the government for its alleged failures the session is expected to be stormy. As per the business of the assembly, the government is slated to answer 565 questions, including 215 starred and 350 unstarred during the four day session.<br/><br/>Besides, one government resolution and five private member resolutions would be tabled during the session. The government is likely to table some bills during the session that could include the Goa Professional Tax Bill.<br/><br/>The other bills could include the Goa Land Revenue Code, the Panchayati Raj (amendment) Bill, among others.<br/>
