In Goa, the Nationalist Congress Party has come out today with the party manifesto in view of the State Assembly polls slated to be held on March 3.Prior to this, the three major political parties including the Congress, Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party revealed the agenda through their election manifestoes and details of their plans to bring about the all-round development of the state. The main plank of the electioneering this time is political stability and growth with special emphasis on legal mining, tourism and infrastructure development.AIR correspondent reports, detailing on the NCP Election Manifesto, which has been released more than a week after the closing of nominations for the State Assembly Elections, Goa Pradesh Party President Prof. Surendra Shirsat told reporters that the party would render full support and cooperate with Congress party for fulfillment of the assurances already given to the people of Goa. He said that the NCP stands for a democratic secular society wedded to equality and social justice and the party slogan is good governance and a stable government which would be development-oriented, transparent and free from corruption.He further added that apart from provision of basic necessities for the common people the party would concentrate on the major issues including health, education, regional plan, corruption and pollution control.
