Glowing tributes were paid to the Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 121st birth Anniversary on Saturday. The President, Mrs Pratibhadevi Singh Patil offered floral tributes at the statue of Baba Saheb at Sansad Bhavan Lawns in the Parliament House complex.

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi and senior BJP leader L K Advani are among the leaders who offered floral tributes.

A large number of people also visited the Parliament House Complex to pay their tributes to the messiah of the marginalised and downtrodden sections of society.
