<br/>Nations around the world have pledged to work towards a 'green economy' to combat the challenges posed by global warming at summit held at Bali in Indonesia.<br/><br/>The Nusa Dua Declaration that was adopted at the end of the conference organised by the United Nations Environment<br/><br/>Programme (UNEP) called for another meeting in June to decide if a new international panel of scientists for biodiversity, modelled on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, (IPCC) should be created.<br/><br/>The meeting was attended by some 1,000 participants from 130 countries, including nearly 100 environmental affairs ministers. It is the largest environmental meeting after Copenhagen climate summit in 2009 which failed to produce a legally binding treaty.<br/><br/>The ministers agreed to take positive steps before the next climate conference in Mexico at the end of the year.<br/>
