Union Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy today emphasized the need for preserving, propagating, and perpetuating the rich culture of the country and said its heritage and museums will play a key role in achieving the same.<br />'' <br />'' Referring to the 'Vikas and Virasat' mantra as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the minister said the government is ensuring that the poorest of the poor gets benefits of development and efforts are on to protect heritage for Virasat. &nbsp;<br />'' <br />'' He was addressing after formally inaugurating the 2-day global summit, on Reimagining Museums in India' he said the museums need to be reinvented, in such a way in which they are accessible to citizens and relevant for the 21st century in the new digital age.<br />'' <br />'' Explaining the measures taken up by his ministry for enhancing the importance of museums, he said the Culture Ministry is working on an inclusive model involving artists, museum professionals, and educators and placing them at the core of the museums in the country. Over 3 thousand participants from countries including &nbsp;Australia, France, Italy, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States are taking part in the summit.&nbsp;
