A 3-day global conference on Women in Agriculture begins in New Delhi today. Addressing the media in New Delhi yesterday , the Direcor General of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, S. Ayyappan said that researchers, policy makers, women farmers and other stakeholders will deliberate on the prevailing and emerging gender issues in agriculture and food systems during the conference. About 450 participants from more than 50 foreign countries will attend the conference.
