GJM’s bandh hits normal work in govt offices

In West Bengal, the normal working of government and local offices in Darjeeling hills was affected due to a call given by the Gorkha Jana Mukhti Morcha to indefinitely close all the offices in the region.<br/><br/>The Morcha is demanding for a separate state of Gorkhaland. The announcement of indefinite closing of offices came just two days after the Morcha called off the four day Darjeeling hills bandh.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, indefinite fast unto death agitation of the morcha entered its sixth day on Wednesday in support of the demand.<br/><br/>The health of some of the hunger strikers is deteriorating and some of the hunger strikers have already been hospitalized in different hospitals.
