Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has expressed grief on the demise of Gitanjali Aiyar. In a tweet, Mr Thakur said, she was one of the first and finest English news anchors on Doordarshan and All India Radio.<br />”<br />”He said, a trailblazer and pioneer, Gitanjali Aiyar brought credibility, professionalism, and a distinct voice to every news report, leaving an indelible mark in the journalism and broadcasting industries.<br />”<br />”The Minister expressed condolences to her family and loved ones. Gitanjali Aiyar passed away in New Delhi yesterday at the age of 76.<br />
